Owen WilliamsOwen grew up on a hill farm in West Wales. His training to be an artist developed not in an art school but from the inner desire to portray the spectacular natural beauty of the landscapes and wildlife that surrounded his home. In 1985, after a brief spell living and working in London, Owen returned to Cardiganshire to pursue his passion for painting and become a full time professional artist. Today Owen's paintings can be found in many private collections in Europe and the US. In 2003 he was commissioned by the Royal Household to paint a picture for HRH Prince William’s 21st birthday. That painting now hangs in Clarence House. Owen has exhibited widely throughout Britain and Europe. He has been extensively featured in many wildlife books and also the UK’s Sporting press, who regard him as one of Britain’s leading painters of birds and game in their natural environment.
