Tania StillTania Still was born (1976) and grew up in North Yorkshire before uprooting and moving to London in 1996 to study at the 'City and Guilds of London Art School' in Kennington, where she completed her diploma and postgraduate studies in Fine Art painting. Now working from her studio in southwest London, she predominantly paints foxhounds from different packs throughout the British Isles. Using photography she trails the country taking images of different packs at kennels, shows or meets. Her subjects include: Foxhounds, Coursing Greyhounds, Harriers, Beagles and Mink hounds. Using a square format to create her images is fundamental to the environment that she wants to convey in her work, an unbiased approach retaining the hound's anonymity within the pack. In August 2007 Tania held a major exhibition showing 40 of her works during The Edinburgh Festival. Tania’s work is now in great demand, predominantly for private commissions. She is represented by Alexander Meddowes, Fine Art Broker, Edinburgh. To view a more detailed image of a print click the image to enlarge |
